भरद्वाजजी बोले-सूतजी! आपने पहले मुझसे वसु आदि देवताओंकी सृष्टिका उस प्रकार वर्णन किया; परंतु अश्विनीकुमारों तथा मरुदूणोंकी उत्पत्ति नहीं कही; अतः अब उसे ही कहिये सूतजी बोले-महामते ! पूर्वकालमें शक्तिनन्दन श्रीपराशरजीने विष्णुपुराणमें मरुदरणोंकी उत्पत्तिका विस्तार- पूर्वक वर्णन किया है तथा वायुदेवताने वायुपुराणमें अश्विनीकुमारोंकी उत्पत्ति भी विस्तारपूर्वक कही है;

They demolish this tree and become scot-free. O the great learned Sukadeva, the evil-doers seldom get out from the trap of the object and the action (karma and kriya). The conscious people, on the other side, cut into pieces the branches of this tree by the conscious sword in their hands and attain to that immortal position from where they seldom are recycled to birth and death. The man fastened firmly by affection for the body and the wife too becomes free by virtue of the practical application of his consciousness. Hence, the great men keep the attainment of knowledge of the top of their action plan as it is the knowledge that only pleases the god Nrsimha. A man without consciousness is not better than an animal. The eating habits, rest and sleep, sense of fear and intercourse etc. in man are like those in the animals. It is only consciousness that differs him from the animals. Hence, the persons without consciousness too are like animal barring the structural or physical difference.
