ऊर्ध्वबाहुः स देवेशं शङ्खचक्रगदाधरम् हृदि संचिन्त्य तुष्टाव नरसिंहं सनातनम्

ūrdhvabāhuḥ sa deveśaṃ śaṅkhacakragadādharam hṛdi saṃcintya tuṣṭāva narasiṃhaṃ sanātanam

गृहस्थ ब्राह्मण स्नान आदिके बाद प्रतिदिन बलिवैश्वदेव करे और घरपर आये हुए अतिथिका अपनी शक्तिके अनुसार भक्तिपूर्वक सम्मान करे। एक अतिथिके आ जानेपर यदि दूसरे भी आ जायँ तो उन्हें भी देखकर विरोध न माने, उनका भी यथाशक्ति सम्मान करे। सदा अपनी ही स्त्रीमे अनुराग रखे, दूसरेकी स्त्रीके सम्पर्कसे सदा दूर रहे। सदा सत्य बोले, क्रोध न करे, अपने धर्मका पालन करता रहे। अपने नैत्यिक आदि कर्मका समय प्राप्त होनेपर प्रमाद न

समझनेमें निपुण हो, संधि और विग्रहका तत्त्व समझे। श्राद्धादि कर्म करे। धर्मपूर्वक ही विजयकी इच्छा करे, अधर्मको भलीभाँति त्याग दे। इस प्रकार आचरण करनेवाला क्षत्रिय उत्तम गतिको प्रात होता है॥ १--५॥
