Simple explanation

Editorial explanation, not scripture

Modern reflection

Editorial reflection, not scripture

दीर्घकालिक सिनैप्टिक सुदृढ़ीकरण (Long-Term Potentiation - LTP) और निरोधात्मक नियंत्रण (Inhibitory Control): न्यूरोसाइंस का हेबियन नियम (Hebb's Law) कहता है — "Neurons that fire together, wire together."

A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.

The teaching in everyday life

Editorial contentReviewed by Editorial Scripture Team (V. S. Sharma & S. Shastri), 2026-09-26

Illustrations written by the editors to help you think about the verse. They are not part of the scripture, and they are not the only way to read it.

Teaching illustrated: The mind is undoubtedly hard to hold like the wind, but it can be mastered through consistent practice (Abhyasa) and non-attachment (Vairagya).

Student life
Finding concentration impossible after weeks of erratic sleep and digital overstimulation.
Do not expect instant meditative perfection. Train your focus in short, daily, dedicated intervals (practice), while reducing mindless phone snacking (non-attachment).
Professional life
Constantly feeling overwhelmed by multitasking, urgent emails, and fragmented focus.
Build the muscle of deep work through routine daily blocks (Abhyasa), while letting go of the compulsive need to respond immediately to every ping (Vairagya).
Creative work
Experiencing prolonged creative dry spells and feeling like quitting.
Show up at the drafting table every morning regardless of inspiration (Abhyasa), and surrender your fixation on making every single session brilliant (Vairagya).
Family responsibility
Trying to establish healthy habits of shared family dinners and screen-free evenings.
New family routines take time and slip frequently. Keep reintroducing the practice with patience and cheerfulness, gently letting go of past failures.
