Brahman is described entirely by negation — beyond every sense-quality and bodily attribute — and then positively: eternal, all-pervading, the womb (yoni) of all beings. Wisdom (dhīra) is the capacity to see by both methods at once.
That which is unseen, ungraspable, without family, without color, without eye or ear, without hands or feet — eternal, all-pervading, omnipresent, exceedingly subtle, undecaying, the womb of all beings — that the wise see.

Simple explanation
Editorial explanation, not scripture
Modern reflection
Editorial reflection, not scripture
Via Negativa

A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
